Not so much with a bang but with the usual almost imperceptible whimper we note that allegedly sitting Douglas Central MHK Ann Corlett quietly announced over a month ago that she will be standing in the 2021 general election - during an interview about something entirely different with Paul Moulton.

More difficult to track than the mythical Himalayan Yeti Mrs Corlett's hiding skills appear to put even Osama Bin Laden to shame as ultimately even Bin Laden was eventually spotted in the village in which he lived before he was summarily dealt with - whereas the existence and whereabouts of Mrs Corlett only seem to be the subject of central Douglas rumour and innuendo rather like that of Nepal's fabled Abominable Snowman.
So there you go. We missed this almost non-existent announcement from an MHK who few constituents seem to be able to verify actually exists. Consequently we would expect the people of Douglas Central to be hearing absolutely nothing further any day soon - much like all communications they will have received from Mrs Corlett in the last five years.
