When it comes to Tim Crookall there's a very real and clear disconnect in these two stories carried by IOM Newspapers.

So 14 months ago he resigned as an MLC with a big public statement saying that he was doing so in order to fight a future election in the West as a prospective MHK. Yet over a year on he now asks IOM Newspapers to issue a public correction to its published claim that he was actually standing as an MHK in Glenfaba and Peel in the forthcoming election.
So what is the truth here?
Is the vast popularity and towering intellect of the current candidates for re-election, Osama Bin Harmer and the Evil Baron Boot, too much for former Swimming Pool [Deputy] Manager and Postie Crookall to push against? Or has the appearance of the very credible Kate Lord Brennan MLC now thrown an unforeseen spanner in the works to the easy seat he had eyed up last year? Alternatively maybe a pact has since been made with Osama Bin Harmer not to rock the boat in his re-election plans? Realistically at this time Kate seems almost guaranteed to take one Western seat leaving just one remaining for any of the current disastrous incumbents seeking another five years on the gravy train.
No doubt a further press statement must now follow in short order to clear up any confusion?
But without doubt in relation to Glenfaba and Peel our resounding vote for any of the candidates seeking re-election (and this would include former Peel MHK & largely ineffectual past MLC Mr Crookall) would be vote none of the above!
